Pass It On

Wishing you and your family a wonderful Lord's Day.....There is not a better way to start the week!

Our church is gearing up for our Spring Meeting the end of March. Our theme is "It's All in the Family". The elders have chosen the song "Pass It On" by Kurt Kaiser as the theme song. I remember this song as a little girl hearing it but didn't really appreciate it.

It only takes a spark to get a fire going
And soon all those around, can warm up in glowing
That’s how it is with God’s love
Once you’ve experienced it, you spread His love to everyone
You want to pass it on
What a wondrous time is spring, when all the trees are budding
The birds begin to sing, the flowers start their blooming
That’s how it is with God’s love
Once you’ve experienced it, you want to sing
“It’s fresh like spring”; you want to pass it on
I wish for you my friend, this happiness that I’ve found
You can depend on Him, it matters not where you’re bound
I’ll shout it from the mountain top – PRAISE GOD
I want the world to know; the Lord of love has come to me
I want to pass it on

What a wonderful message! If everyone just could do just that! Myself included!

I notice with Spring in the air and warmer weather in our area, it is easier to "feel a little better!"  Winter BLAHS really get to me and this has truly been a mild winter here.

And it doesn't hurt having this little bundle of love around to cuddle and love on!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day! Hope you have a Lov-er-ly day with all your loved ones! Some of my single co workers get so down on this day and will even take off work to not have to face this day. They may not have a "boyfriend" "husband" " sweetheart" that showers them with candy, flowers, or cards. I always feel so sad for them....that they feel so bad and so lonely. I feel blessed that not only does my husband treat me so kind and is so sweet on this day, but my kids are such a treasure as well. I personally don't take this holiday to serious! I love all the pink and red but have never been overly crazed to have gifts. Don't get me wrong, I love them and am very appreciative but I'm kinda one of those that thinks, "Man those cost a lot of money!"  My hubby ALWAYS buys me flowers and a beautiful card, but he also buys flowers for his Mom, MY Mom, his daughters, and now his brand new GRANDDAUGHTER (Lily-Jo actually got a stuffed animal). He has always done this and is so thoughtful! The girls have always said they don't need a boyfriend....their Daddy is their sweetheart.

We are really having fun this Valentine Day as we have such a sweetie in our lives now. She is a doll! Momma's going to put on her Valentine outfit for the day! She had her one week check up yesterday and got an A+!

Grandma must share some pics! She seems to have a photo shoot every day! Poor baby!

Isn't She Lovely?

I'm a Grandma!!!!!!!!!!

Isn't She Lovely? by Stevie Wonder

Isn't she lovely
Isn't she wonderful
Isn't she precious
Less than one minute old

(I sang this song to myself when I saw her the first time! )

Lily-Jo Juliette
February 6
4:13 p.m.
8 pounds 14 ounces
20 inches long
and
DARLING!

Lily-Jo has her Momma's middle name Jo as well as Grandpa's middle name Joe!

Delivery went very well! Both sets of Grandparents were there as well as the aunts and uncles anxiously awaiting the arrival. When we got the text from Daddy she was here....we screamed! Momma did so good and I'm so proud of my baby girl. I was overwhelmed with emotion seeing my baby girl as a momma to her baby girl. And now I'm head over heels in love with this little bundle! She has stolen my heart! I have enjoyed every second already of rocking and cuddling her! I can't wait to share some pics....

WARNING! LOTS OF PICTURES!

Seeing my baby as a Momma!

I'm a little emotional...I cry a lot!

Looking at that precious little doll for the first time!

Grandpa is quite taken with her!

That hair is adorable!

Auntie Haley looking at her twin!

Our first grandchild! Overjoyed!

Uncle Zach and his niece....totally smitten!

Auntie Darb and her photo model niece!

And these are the next day!
Perfection only from God!

She got to dress up for her first K-State purple pride B-ball game!
This is one of my favorite pics!

The hair was a TOTAL surprise! I had told her she would probably have a lot of hair because she had heart burn constantly and lived on Tums! I had the exact same thing with my little Haley! I'll show pics later of how much Lily-Jo and Haley look alike!

I understand the power of God, I know He is Almighty, He is perfect, He is the Creator.

....and when you see a newborn baby with their perfect little fingers and delicate ears, and fine little hairs on their soft arms, and teeny tiny lips......you can only say....

Be still and know that I AM GOD!

PRAISE GOD FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW.

We are so grateful and thankful for Lily-Jo's safe and healthy arrival. We are equally thankful for Lacey Jo's health during delivery and after.

She's Coming Soon....

Happy Lord's Day....may you enjoy this day and count your blessings and praise our Almighty God and rejoice in His Son Jesus Christ.

This is the Day the Lord hath made....let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24

May I ask for prayers?  Lace is scheduled to be induced with her pregnancy tomorrow morning bright and early. She is a week early but doctor says baby is ready and everything looks great.  This weekend I spent as much time as I could just feeling little baby through Momma's tummy....(between Aunties and I constantly touching her belly, I think Lace is really ready for her to come out!) I sing to her, talk to her, rub her little bottom, can feel her little toes just wiggling in there!
This Grandma has not been sleeping well the last few nights. It has hit me that my baby is having a baby. I can't bear her to be in pain, I worry for all to be well, I just want a healthy little baby girl, I want MY little girl to stay healthy and safe.....whew....I think it was much easier just having the babies than standing by with all this anxiety.

If you will, just say a quick prayer? Thank you so so much!

I'll be back as soon as I can!
