I get to visit her every day after school and it's an enjoyable time for me. Friday she was doing wonderful and just walking up a storm at her nursing home. We had a great visit.
Saturday the nursing home called and said she was not doing well. When we got there she was not talking, swallowing, walking, eating or anything. I spent the evening with her watching Christmas movies until bedtime. Sunday morning they called and she was worse and the ambulance came and transported her to the hospital. They admitted her after tests showing Pneumonia. She received bag after bag of antibiotics. Sunday night she was stable but not well. When Haley and I got there Monday morning, she was much worse and they transferred her to Critical Care Unit. They did a "bronc" procedure and removed 2 pounds of fluids from her lungs. She was able to breathe better and rest better but are hoping to avoid a life support ventilator and just be able to fight the infection with the antibiotics. We came home to get sleep and will go back tomorrow. They will call tonight if there are changes.
Please pray for her if you will. My family's hearts are very heavy and sad tonight. It is the worst feeling to not be able to help your mom get well. My mom has always taken care of me when I was sick. I just want her to feel better.
I know that is in God's hands and my faith lies there. His will WILL be done.

In all your ways acknowledge Him

Praying that your Mom pulls through quickly. Sending you hugs too, Tanya.
Dear Tanya,
I read through your post with tears streaming down my cheeks. I am so sorry your mom is going through this and I know how sad and difficult it is for you and your family. I will pray for all of you.
Two years ago my mom was in intensive care on Christmas day after suffering a 2nd stroke. I remember being afraid that we were going to lose her, but she did get better and was eventually able to return to her assisted living center.
I pray that your dear Mom will soon be feeling better. I keep you all in my thoughts and send gentle hugs your way.
Love,
Kim

Sweet sis,
I have been and will continue to pray for your mama and for you. I thought about calling last night, but figured you had had a grueling day and probably just wanted to rest. Please let me know if you need me to do anything-
hugs and love to you,
"PB Sister"
Will be praying for sure Tanya ~sorry to hear this and wow that is a lot of fluid I can't even imagine what that would feel like trying to breath. Hopefully removing that will help. ~Praying!! Love Heather
Praying for your mother. God directs us to bear each other's burden, and being worried about your mom is definitely a burden. The Bible says "the prayer of faith SHALL heal the sick" so we are going to pray, in faith, and we are going to TRUST that our LORD will heal your mother. Praying for you too!
