Vacation ... Branson Style!!!!!!

My hubby and I had taken my Momma to OK City last Wed. to meet my sister to have her go home with her to Texas to have a change. She (due to the Alzheimers) is still thinking my Dad is alive and should be home. She is doing as well as can be expected and we are happy about that. Thank you so so so much for all your thoughts and prayers.  I continue to read the kind notes that give me strength.
My family (minus Z) had planned to go to Branson, MO earlier but we postponed with all of the unexpectedness that has come.  R and I now have a new philosophy..."Make plans but be prepared to change plans at any given moment!" It's a more realistic and true way of life!

I put pics on (they are in a crazy mixed up order...kind of how I live!!! Simplicity is also a new philosophy. "Don't sweat the small stuff"...I love that!

Succotash ....ONE of our favs...

Daddy and D
A much needed cool off place

Okay okay...we got a little out of control with the hat stand....but boy it was fun!!

"Please Dad...just one hat!!"
Aunt Ruthie (SugarPie Farmhouse) blogged about this place as well..We just wanted to stay in there and smell and smell and smell!!!

One of Mom's favorite stores at Branson Landing.

Flea market fun!!

OH YEA!! Gnomes and pink flamingos....gotta love them.  My family is so embarrassed...but as soon as I get a couple of pink metal chairs or pink adirondack chairs...these babies are coming home with me!! For crying out loud...."They make everyone smile!"

What a great place to eat...we did breakfast and then went upstairs to the most adorable giftshop!!
LIGHTS ON!! 200 calories in about 3 bites!! Not joking about the calories or the bites!
Fire and water show at Branson Landing!!
Taneycomo Lake
Tablerock Lake...one of our family's favorite things to do.  This trip we took our SeaDoo and we rented a pontoon. Our good friends brought their ski boat and there were 13 of us.  We cruised down to Cricket Creek, AR via Tablerock and it is smooth glasslike water there.  We had a blast just playing in the water and skiing and tubing!

Cody and Haley

The newlyweds...Blake and Lacey

Beautiful...peaceful...and relaxing!

Daddy's way of boating

Heading to the lake.
Silver Dollar City night show....GAC nights

OOOOOOOOOOH! I am feelin' so sad we missed it! Love the hats Dawbey! Delaney took one look at #7 and yelled "YAKOV"! How Fun! I'm thinking we need to do a SDC night and use our cast iron pans- stir up some succotash and bake some apple dumplins. Oh and home made ice cream and berries of course! Love ya! We'll be there next time Lord Willin!

Hey Tanya,

Boy does it look like you all had fun! I passed those signs to Branson last week as I traveled to Oklahoma City and was so tempted to take a detour Ha! maybe next time.

Thanks for offering to pray for us we REALLY appreciate it. Maybe some day I will be able to share some details, right now I don't have my brother's permission.

Now, that I am home I need to get back to work! My garden is need of a good weeding!!! Talk with you soon.
