Late Night + Fun Concert = Exhaustion

Daddy and I got to use my Valentine present last night. He surprised me and got us tickets to Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks. YIPPEE! We were both quite excited! However, after working all day and knowing we would be out late and then driving home about an hour, I knew that by the time I finally would get to hit the bed, I'd be wiped out! AND then to get up and go off to work and motivate 8/9 year olds to do well on their State Assessment tests was a little more than my mind could comprehend. BUT we did it! And we had a blast! KC has the new Sprint Center for concerts and a fabulous Power and Light District to go out to eat at. It was a beautiful evening and even though all the restaurants were packed, we ordered some great food, took it outside, and sat on some steps and people watched while we ate. I could sit and "people watch" for hours. Then headed just steps away to the concert. Great night! Stevie was wonderful and Rod was quite entertaining.

I think I want to grow up and be Stevie Nicks and Rod wants to be Rod Stewart now. (We have this thing about dreaming BIG!)   Any other fans out there? (I know my dear blog friend, Heather, was wishing she was there, huh? I thought of you! :0)
We pulled into home around midnight and these old folks could not wait to hit the pillows! I think I was mid sentence to my hubby in "Thanks a lot for a great Valentine present, I really  h a d a gre aaaa t   ......." when I crashed! 6:00 a.m. alarm came way too soon!

What a fun night to remember!

What a great present! Honestly, you two look much better than Rod and Stevie. I love Stevie too! Rest up now!

You both look great, and what a wonderful night!!
My hubby and I would love that concert. They are both from our era :-) I used to play Rod Stewart albums over and over in my room when I was growing up. Wouldn't it have been fun to have had an iPod back then?
Blessings,

I am so glad you all had such a fun night!!!

The b&b is open and you are more than welcome to come any time!!! Oh the fun we would have...especially if you like coffee (freshly roasted by none other than the cute engineer), talking and laughing until the early hours of the morning and a little snow HA! Enjoy your evening or should I say morning.
