Happy Birthday Haley Elizabeth!

I'm belated on getting this post up....I wanted to scan some pictures and didn't get it done, so IF you will pretend the date is February 23rd then all will be well. Baby girl, please forgive mommy! I try and I'm always about 10 steps behind!

Haley Elizabeth is our third child and second daughter. She is the "life, spunk, and energy" to the fam. She is tall and beautiful. Most people say she looks just like her Mommy, but I'm NOT tall and beautiful so not sure what they are talking about. She has had every color of hair a tall and beautiful girl could have. And now the story of her birth!
She was due the 24th (oh, yea that's why I'm posting now!) but the older two siblings came a day early so I knew she would be born on the 23rd. It was unseasonably warm and we went to Grandpa's farm to see the new baby calves that were all over the pastures. Sissy Lace and I were walking hand in hand through the pastures with everyone else and I was having to stop every few steps to "hee hee who" and breathe. Lace was quite curious and asked what I was doing A LOT! We finally went home and I said to hubby, "We might????? want to go to hospital and just see if we are getting close." Grandma came over to babysit and off we went. The ride to hospital was interesting...secretly I wondered how embarrassing would it be to deliver on a highway. When we arrived, they said, "Well we'll check and see how far you are and decide if we will keep you." I was dialated to a 9 and we went straight to delivery...I remember pushing as I was being wheeled down the hall. (Sorry, that's probably Too Much Information!) The young female doctor on duty (not mine) and nurses scolded poor hubby for not getting me there sooner. He explained I'm a little....... stubborn, and didn't let on that the baby was about born in a cow pasture! She was my biggest baby and yet the easiest to deliver. And she was born with black hair and a full head of it!

She grew up a Daddy's girl. Never left the crook of his arm in the recliner but when necessity called. She lived in the crook of his arm until she had to go to school. She was a Mini-Me to Lace and followed her everywhere, did what Lace told her to do but always with her own pizzazz. We learned early that she had her own ideas and her own way of doing things. She is strong willed, loving, caring, nurturing to little ones, helpful, and such a good Christian girl. She loves God and Jesus and that makes us the happiest of anything. And her Daddy calls her Tender Heart. SHE IS NOW 20! 20 years old....sounds so young to me and yet sounds so old for my baby! She now lives a couple of hours from us and we miss her dearly. I've taken her away from her Daddy...she's now a Momma's girl. She's coming home for the weekend and I think I'll put her in the crook of my arm and rock her. If you will oblige me, I'm going to reminisce through the years! I apologize for the quality of the pictures.

Happy Birthday Ha Wee Beth....We love you more than you will ever know!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAYWEE! WE LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU!

So happy that she will be home this weekend, those pictures are precious, but not as precious as she is in person! She truly is a tenderheart, I am always amazed by her meekness, her humbleness, and love of the Lord. She has a quiet strength about her that is so rare in someone her age. And I am not just saying this because I am her aunt! (I know that is what she will say!!!) God bless you Hawee Beth!

She's a beautiful girl, mom, they are all beautiful. How fun to hear her story! I'm glad you made it to the hospital in time! She had dark hair like my daughter, and then it turned blonde!! Fun to look back, isn't it?

What a beautiful girl!

I am not liking the forecast at all. I think it is more freezing rain and snow.

Your trip is getting so close~oh how fun. By the time you get back surely our nice weather will be here to stay.

My Brian and I are heading down to Tan-Tar-A for the Mo Principal's Banquet. I am looking forward to stopping in Tipton at the Amish Bulk store. I am so looking forward to a couple days away. I am praying for nice weather. Most years it is nice but one year we had a snow storm while we were there.

You have a wonderful Lord's Day too!

Goodness...where does time go? Miss Haley is a beauty! and a happy late birthday wish to her! Something must be wrong with my computer as I did try earlier to leave a comment which didn't post.

So, are you getting excited for the big cruise? It will be here before you know it. We are headed to VA for Jen's spring break. I can hardly wait. She called the other day and was complaining about the warm weather (she has lived in MI to long and thinks Feb should be cold) can you believe that. What a goofy girl.

Again I hope you all had a sweet time celebrating Haley's birthday. Talk with you soon.
