Thankful Thursday

Happy Thursday to you all...It's a little late and I'm tired... but am going to post...I've been texting with my girls and if you knew what my texting skills were like, you'd understand why I'm tired. I generally have to retype what I type....and I don't use capitals, numbers very good, spaces are sometimes left out, and alot of times I type the wrong words. I think the girls spend a lot of time deciphering my lingo. To the Mommas out there, how are your texting abilities ?

I read on some blogs that today was National Day of Prayer.
If you are like me, EVERY DAY is prayer day,
"pray without ceasing" ~ 1 Thess. 5:17 ~
is stenciled in my dining room! It was nice to see so many people pass the word around. I appreciated that very much. After all PRAYER is a blessing and a gift and we should accept that gift because God answers them. I am thinking tonight of one of my VERY FAVORITE songs I like to sing at church, or hum to myself when I'm supervising the crazy lunch duty at school. (HA...just a little calming tactic I use! ) Have you heard it? Don't you love the words? Whenever I have a great day, a feel good, sunshiney, happy day....I sometimes think to myself....."And heaven is so much better than even this!!!) Now here we go..... sing with me please!

What A Day That Will Be

There is coming a day when no heartaches shall come
No more clouds in the sky, no more tears to dim the eye.
All is peace forevermore on that happy golden shore,
What a day, glorious day that will be.

What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see,
And I look upon His face,
The One who saved me by His grace;
When He takes me by the hand
And leads me through the Promised Land,
What a day, glorious day that will be.

There'll be no sorrow there, no more burdens to bear,
No more sickness, no pain, no more parting over there;
And forever I will be with the One who died for me,
What a day, glorious day that will be.

What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see,
And I look upon His face,
The One who saved me by His grace;
When He takes me by the hand
And leads me through the Promised Land,
What a day, glorious day that will be.

Hope you had a great Thursday!!! Friday is only hours a way! :0)

And I'm having a Garage Sale on Saturday! YIKES! Do you ever say to yourself... "What was I thinking?" If I don't....my husband does!

What were you thinking? At least you should be able to clean out more basement space. My texting skills are pathetic! I don't think I know that song. How can that be? Could you hum me a few bars please? I may make it to your garage sale...save a few bargains for me!!!!

You are way ahead of me. I don't text at all. I have turned that capability off on my phone.
I wish I could come to your garage sale! But I'm helping daughter move this weekend. Now that her finals are over, she is officially a senior, and she is moving to a little rental house off campus with a few friends. We told her she would have to wait til she was a Senior to do that. (and this is ONE instance where she actually listened to her parents.)

What a beautiful hymn. As a "church kid" I've sung that song hundreds and hundreds of times. And it still blesses me. "What a day that will be . . " AMEN!!!!!

What's Texting? Ha, Just Kidding. Kind of. Not quite there yet. I can still spell better than the rest of my kiddos (except Naney), so I'm good for now! Loved your post!
So Thankful we have something better to look forward to!

Texting was Katie's main means of communication. What's up with that...I ask you and what is wrong with a good ole phone call? Ha We'll see how Jen will communicate when she leaves for school this fall. Good luck with the garage sale! A high of 45 is predicted here in MI for this week end praying yours is warmer!

TeeKee, Do you have your garage sale ready to go? You are always so ambitious. With all you have going on you could have skipped this year's sale and no one would have faulted you! I'm getting some answers re: our questions! and with regard to the dumb and dumber comment..."I resemble that remark"! Doc and I will be in Ozland tomorrow around noon for Mother's Day with Sweet Momma! Maybe we'll see you?!? Want to see Stacey's house and all!!!

Hi Tanya,
Thanks for stopping by and introducing yourself. Thanks, too, for your sweet comments. To answer your question, yes I am a mom to 2 boys. They will be 22 and 24 on May 10th. Both have flown the nest, but not married yet.
I hope your garage sale went well. They are a lot of work, but worth it if they are successful. I'm very impressed with your texting. I have yet to even try it.
I hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day and I look forward to coming back to visit you.
