Thankful Thursday

It has rained and rained and rained. It has been cloudy and dreary. It is soppy, slushy, and soaked out there. I have been walking to school barefooted for two weeks. I have to walk across my yard to get to work and any shoes I wear are completely soaked if I wear them, so off come the shoes, roll my pant legs up and away I go. Despite all this ... rain is a blessing from God. So as I make my mental list of blessings, rain is on it. Every day there
is not enough time to count all of our blessings. Have you ever sat and wrote them down....I have done that exercise but I think I should keep it posted to look at on a regular basis. We have so many earthly blessings, but the greatest blessing is to come....What a Day That Will Be!!
Ephesians 1:2-4 (King James Version)

2Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
4According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Where would we be...if the hands of God didn't touch every aspect of our lives? To be "chosen in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:" is something to be thankful for indeed!!!

Have a great weekend!

What a great reminder! (= God has been so good to us! Even if it rains every day for the rest of my life, His salvation is enough for me! Happy Friday!!!!

I really appreciate your having this verse today. I am so grateful for HIS blessings, and I count you as one of my greatest blessings. Growing up an only child, I always wanted a sister and look what God went and gave me? Three of them! I also always wanted to be an aunt. Bingo! Talk about BLESSINGS! Have a BLESSED day- lookie the sun came out!

What a great post! To write down the blessings is like trying to count the stars...I've tried but I never get done. Thanks for the reminder!
Our friend, Blakely, sends her love and she sent you a gift...truly...it cost me nothing. Why don't you come and get it?
Love, Jammie
