Thankful Thursday

Thursday has always been my favorite day of the week I do believe. I guess it's because the weekend is right around the corner. I do love Sundays for it being the Lord's Day so maybe Thursdays are 2nd favorite. I'm going to try to remember to post (remember???? well ....) a little somthin' to be grateful for on Thursday. Today is was rainy, dreary, cool, cloudy, etc. etc. etc. .....and today I'm actually thankful for sunshine. It's there just waiting to break wide open and warm our hearts and bodies, but it's just not quite time yet. Patience...patience...patience...I love the John Denver song, "Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy, sunshine in my eyes can make me cry..."( I think that's how it goes!)....... I like that. I'm really missing Mr. Sun. I'm going to appreciate and be thankful when he gets here. I'm going to go out in the yard, raise my face up to him, reach my arms out to him, and smile. ( I really hope my family is NOT around when this happens....they may call the paddy wagon OR they could just look at each other and shake their heads..who knows!) I'm going to really really try to become a morning person this summer when school is out and enjoy the sunrise, the quiet, the peace, the stillness. I want to see that sun in the morning and enjoy it all day and then watch it float away into darkness. Coffee on our front porch with a morning Bible verse has been a tradition R and I have in the summers. We love it and it is a great way to start the day. I think I'll try starting even earlier and get up with Mr. Sun. It's worth a try!! Maybe L will join me!! So here's to SUNSHINE!!

Looking forward to summer break when we haven't even had spring break yet? I admire you for at least having the desire to get up early and to enjoy the sunrise...For me it's always easiest to walk first thing in the morning when I'm still half asleep and don't quite know what I'm doing yet.
"Thankful thursdays"? hmmmm...good idea.

Don't tell Daddy but I am not planning on working this summer so I'll drive the golf cart up each morning, drop Jasmine off at Harley's pen, and you can have my coffee ready for me.

One cream, one sugar.
